DVCNews Debates: Membership Magic

mt_ignore:DVCNews Debates

Disney Vacation Club's Membership Magic program is now a year old, having debuted on January 31, 2014.

The program's goal was to provide DVC owners with a slate of exclusive experiences not typically available to the general public.  Examples include unique dining events, member nights at vendors like Splitsville and Walt Disney World spa locations, exclusive Adventures by Disney itineraries and more.

DVCNews Debates: Poly at 7 months

mt_ignore:DVCNews Debates

Owners are already beginning to discuss booking Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows 7 months prior to arrival.  Some believe that Deluxe Studios at the Polynesian will be fairly easy to reserve at 7 months due to the high room count (360 villas) and lack of One and Two Bedroom Villas.

Others believe the Polynesian will be one of the more difficult locations to reserve at 7 months due to high nightly cost for the Bungalows (few owners willing to pay for Bungalows means more competition for Studios), resort's location on the monorail line and high purchase price.

DVCNews Debates: 2B vs Two Studios

mt_ignore:DVCNews Debates

Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows will be the first Disney Vacation Club property with no traditional One or Two Bedroom villas (aside from the Bungalows which are clearly not affordable for the vast majority of owners.)

Instead the Polynesian will offer connecting Deluxe Studio villas.  Two connecting Studios would sleep up to 10 guests for a lower point cost than some resorts' Two Bedroom villas.  However, the combined rooms would lack a full kitchen, washer / dryer and other features common to the Two Bedroom villa.

A journey begun nearly two years nearly two years ago has finally come to an end; today marks the start of sales for Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows.

The point charts have been revealed.  Selling prices are known.  Room configurations and amenities announced.  Contract end dates, annual dues...virtually all of the critical information is now known.  Really there's only one question that remains...

DVCNews Debates: Resolution

mt_ignore:DVCNews Debates

The New Year is upon us and millions are making resolutions to alter their behaviors in 2015.  Maybe it's time for a Disney Vacation Club resolution.

Perhaps the resolution will be to treat a cherished family member to their first Disney vacation.  Maybe it's time to visit a new resort or one of the non-park DVC properties.  Some owners might want to make more time to enjoy the resort rather than being at the theme parks from sunrise to sunset.
