Jambo House is the original building known as Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge which opened in 2001. Many of the resort's hotel rooms were converted to Disney Vacation Club villas in 2007. The villas are located on the 5th floor and 6th floors of Jambo House. It is the only DVC resort with concierge level rooms.
Kidani Village is a separate facility constructed in 2009. All guest rooms at Kidani Village are DVC villas.
Value rooms are located in Jambo House only.
Rooms are about 3 feet shorter (316 sq. ft. for studios, and 629 sq. ft. for a one bedroom, and 945 sq. ft. for two bedroom) than non-Value villas at Jambo House. The length difference is in the living/sleeping area in Deluxe Studio villas and the living area and master bedroom of the One Bedroom villas.
The kitchen / kitchenette and master bathrooms are the same size as the non-Value rooms in Jambo House. Value One and Two Bedroom villas do not have a sleeper chair these value units.
Value rooms may have a view of the savanna but it is not guaranteed.
Value rooms are popular due to the low cost, and thus very difficult for non-owners to book at 7 months.
Standard View villas at Jambo House overlook the Uzima Pool.
Standard View villas at Kidani village may overlook the parking lot or Samawati Springs Pool. There is also a section where the Pembe Savanna is extremely narrow which has been designated as Standard View.
A Savanna View reservation guarantees guests will be able to view a savanna from their balcony. The savannas at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas have many species of animals native to Africa. Since the animals roam freely it varies on the number and species that will be visible at any given time.
Jambo House has three savannas: Arusha Savanna, Uzima Savanna, and Sunset Savanna.
Kidani Village shares the Sunset Savanna and has views of the Pembe Savanna.
In Jambo House, just a few doors away from the laundry facilities is a room where you can take recyclables.
In Kidani Village trash/recycle facilities are located in the middle of each resort segment.

Yes. Guests are booked into either Jambo House or Kidani Village at the time the reservation is secured. Guests will be assigned a room in the building they have booked. Requests to change building cannot be honored.
Yes. The Jambo House and Kidani Village entrances are approximately .5 mile apart. The walk runs alongside both resorts' parking lots. Directional signs are present to point the way.
Yes.
Most buses stop at Kidani VIllage then Jambo House before proceeding to their final destination. Disney Springs buses visit Jambo House first, then Kidani Village.
Kidani Village was constructed with the majority of its parking in a covered structure on what is the first floor of the resort. Guest rooms begin on the second floor.
