Some of the new Disney Vacation Club cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort will soon be installed.
Website WDW News Today has shared photos of work currently under way at Fort Wilderness in anticipation of the cabin installation. Back in April 2023, Disney announced plans to convert the long-standing cabins to Disney Vacation Club's 17th timeshare destination. All 363 cabins are due to be replaced with new units which sleep up to 6 guests, featuring a bedroom, shared living space, full kitchen, private deck and more.

The old cabins are set to be replaced entirely, with units seemingly available for purchase. New pre-fabricated cabins will be brought in and installed on the lots as shown in the WDWNT photos.
The first cabins are set to open on July 1, 2024. Ownership in the cabins is currently for sale to both existing DVC Members and first time buyers. Cabins are expected to remain available to cash guests, however availability may prove to be an issue as sales progress and most units are rolled into the timeshare program.
