Beginning this week, guests can start making rental reservations for the updated Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort.
Disney Vacation Club has begun selling ownership in the Fort Wilderness cabins as part of Disney's timeshare program. However, with more than 360 units available to guests, many unsold rooms will remain available to cash guests for many years to come. March 19 marks the start of a 3-stage process to open rooms to guests wishing to pay cash for the rooms.
The timeline published by Disney is as follows:
- March 19 – Disney Vacation Club members can begin to make rental reservations by contacting Member Services at (800) 800-9800.
- March 20 – Walt Disney World Annual Passholder can start booking rental reservations by contacting (407) 934-7639.
- March 21 – All guests can make reservations online or by contacting (407) 934-7639.
The cabins are already open for reservations using DVC points. Early buyers of the new resort can now secure rooms up to 11 months in advance, starting with the reopening date of July 1, 2024.
On Tuesday, April 23, all DVC owners with access to the Fort Wilderness cabins can begin making point reservations, subject to the 7 month window. Resale points purchased after January 2019 are not eligible for stays at most newer resorts including the Fort Wilderness cabins, Disney's Riviera Resort and The Villas at Disneyland Hotel.
