Disney has revealed plans to convert 350 cabins at Fort Wilderness to Disney Vacation Club accommodations. Existing cabin sites will be utilized with entirely new units installed. Cabins will sleep up to 6 adults and include a private bedroom, bathroom, living room, full kitchen and a patio. Some of the cabins will reportedly be dog friendly.

Plans also call for the addition of a pool and walking trail. Disney recently revealed plans to update Trail's End Restaurant to more of a food court-type experience.

The new units are expected to open sometime in 2024.

This move comes as Disney Vacation Club continues active sales on three properties: Disney's Riviera Resort, Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas. Sales for The Villas at Disneyland Hotel are slated to begin on May 2, 2023. And construction is ongoing for a new DVC tower on the grounds of Disney's Polynesian Village Resort
