Twenty months after opening sales for an additional phase of resort development, Disney Vacation Club has declared that The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort is again "sold out."

In 2022, more than two hundred hotel rooms in the Big Pine Key building were converted to DVC villas. Nearly a decade after the resort's initial offering, point sales for the Grand Floridian were reopened. The response from buyers was a mixed bag, with an intial surge of buyers followed by a period of 6 months where Grand Floridian trailied Disney's Riviera Resorts in total sales

However, attractive pricing unveiled in summer 2023 lead to a resurgence. On October 30, Disney Vacation Club informed its staff that the resort was officially sold out.

The move comes as current DVC promotional offers are set to expire today, with new discounts likely to be announced on October 31.

With Grand Floridian now sold out, DVC has three other resorts still in active sales: Riviera, Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas and The Villas at Disneyland Hotel

Disney Vacation Club has a new tower currently under construction on the grounds of Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and has announced plans to convert the Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground to a DVC development. Both projects are expected to go on sale some time in 2024 and open later that year.

Like other "sold out" destinations, DVC will occasional reacquire points through foreclosures and exercising its Right of First Refusal. However a price increase and the elimination of all promotional incentives for Grand Floridian points is expected.
