Current Disney Vacation Club owners can begin purchasing points at the newest resort on February 1, 2024, with first-time buyers to follow on February 27.
The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort will debut as the seventeenth Disney Vacation Club resort on July 1, 2024. More than 350 cabins are set to join the DVC timeshare program in the coming months. Each of the existing cabins is being replaced with a new structure that sleeps up to 6 guests with a full kitchen and dining area, separate bedroom, plus a private deck and BBQ grill.
According to @ScottGustin, point sales will open to existing members on February 1, 2024 and expand to first-time buyers on February 27.
Reservations will reportedly follow this schedule:
- Current owners adding-on: Begin booking February 15
- New owners: March 12
- All other eligible DVC points, subject to 7 month window: April 23
Despite multiple references to the Cabins being part of a new Trust-based DVC product, so far there is no indication that booking will be any different than other resorts.
Links to the points charts for 2024 and 2025 are published on the DVC website, however access to the underlying documents has initially been spotty:
DVC has not formally announced a selling price for the resort. Disclosures in promotional material provided by DVC indicate that a purchase "typically ranges in price from $22,700 to $60,100 (subject to change.)" The lower range could indicate a selling price of $227 each for 100 vacation points. On January 30, the base price of points at Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas and Disney's Riviera Resort will rise to $225 per point. The Villas at Disneyland Hotel will also increase from the current $230 to $239 each.
No word on Annual Dues estimates for 2024.
The average night in a DVC Fort Wilderness Cabin is expected to be lower than all current One Bedroom villas and even some Deluxe Studio options.
