The full floorplan for The Cabins at Disney's Ft. Wilderness Resort provides a look at the bathroom layout, along with full dimensions for the entire unit.
It's been a busy week for news related to the forthcoming Disney Vacation Club property at Ft. Wilderness. Our latest reveal provides a complete overview of the cabin interior.
Starting on the right, the master bedroom interior measures about 11.2' by 12.5'. Inside is a queen-size bed along with a pair of bunk beds along the interior wall. While sacrificing some privacy for parents, some families may appreciate the ability to have their little ones nearby.
The great room measures about 12' by 19' in total. The living area features a Murphy-style sofa that pulls down to provide a queen size bed. At least one chair and an ottoman are equipped, along with a large flat panel TV mounted on the side wall.
The dining area includes a table and seating for up to 6 occupants of the room. And the full kitchen sports a refrigerator, range, microwave, sink and more. Note that DVC marketing materials suggested a 2-burner stove. However, both concept art and the floorplan suggest a more traditional range with perhaps 2 larger burners and 2-3 smaller ones.
Around the corner is a closet to keep the hot water tank hidden. This leads into a split bathroom configuration with one vanity located outside of the main bathroom. Inside the bathroom are the second vanity, commode and a large walk-in shower.
At the front of the unit is a large wooden deck measuring 8' x 20'. Each cabin will also have a charcoal grill and nearby parking. Several of the cabins will be equipped with a long accessibility ramp which leads up to the deck.
Prior releases examine anticipated point values, pet policies, contract end date and other unofficial details. The cabins are expected to open by summer 2024. Prices and a start date for DVC point sales is not yet know.
