We are just days away from the grand opening of the Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort. Hundreds of guests have been able to tour the resort and many are sharing their photos with the rest of the Internet community. Check out some of the latest photos on Flickr and Allears.net.
With the Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort two weeks away from opening, the resort's Top of the World Lounge has become a frequent topic of discussion. The lounge will provide guests an amazing opportunity to view the Magic Kingdom fireworks from the 16th floor of the new Disney Vacation Club resort. But what sort of usage guidelines will apply to DVC members and guests? DVCNews contacted a Disney Vacation Club rep for details.

The lounge is said to be open only during the evening hours and will be accessible to Bay Lake Tower guests only. The lounge and surrounding exterior patio will allow several hundred guests to view the Magic Kingdom firewords on a nightly basis.
Last week we reported on a Passholder preview event at the Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort. Disney Vacation Club has actually scheduled a series of previews throughout the month of July. Known dates include June 29 - July 2, July 9 - July 12 and July 21 - 24. Both DVC members and non-members with confirmed reservations at Walt Disney World during this period have reported receiving invitations to attend the previews.

An amateur video has been posted to Youtube which highlights many of the unique features of the Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort. Included are a trip across the covered walkway to the Bay Lake Tower, a tour of one of the resort's Grand Villas, plus a look a the members-only lounge and fireworks viewing platform.
