Today Disney Vacation Club sent an email reminder to members regarding the pending changes on the sales terms at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas and the Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort.  As we previously reported, on January 15, 2009 the base price for points at the Animal Kingdom Villas will go from $104 per point to $112 per point.  This change applies to both new member purchases AND add-on purchases by existing members. 

Also on January 15 the minimum add-on for the Bay Lake Tower will increase from 25 points to 100 points.  

Current incentive deals--which are valid through January 14, 2009--can be found HERE.  There has been no word on what sort of incentives may replace these on January 15.

The Annual Dues balances for 2009 have been posted to DVCMember.com.  Paper statements are being mailed to members and should begin arriving shortly. 

Note that the balances posted include any necessary adjustments to the estimated property taxes for 2008.  

The due date is January 15, 2009 with a 30-day grace period.  Failure to remit annual dues payments in a timely manner can result in the cancelation of any pending reservations andthe suspension of all Disney Vacation Club priviledges.

2009 Annual Dues Statements have begun their annual trek to members' mailboxes. 

Data has already been reported for a number of resorts.  We will update our Annual Dues chart (link) with figures for each Disney Vacation Club resort as they are reported. The budgets will be formally approved at the Condo Association Meetings on December 9, and invoices will be mailed to members shortly thereafter.

Disney Vacation Club is contacting non-members who have expressed an interest in DVC with an attractive new promotion--a $1000 gift card plus a "free vacation" with their first DVC purchase.

Disney Vacation Club has sent a mailer to current members informing them of a pending price increase on points at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas.  According to the mailer, on January 15, 2009 the base price will increase from $104 per point to $112 per point.  The new price point will mirror DVC's current sale price for the Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort. 

At this time there is no firm word on when prices may increase for new members.  In the past, DVC has provided existing members advance notice of price increases as well as a window of time to buy at the lower rate (while new members are being charged the increased price.)
