On the heels of the Grand Californian sell-out, Disney Vacation Club has made some major changes in pricing and incentives at the four properties still actively available.
The most noteworthy change is a flattening of prices among the Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas and Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa. All three Walt Disney World properties now have a base price of $120 per point. This represents an increase for Saratoga Springs, which is up from $95 per point with no additional incentives offered.
Disney's Aulani resort in Hawai'i remains at a $114 base price until November 1st when it will also rise to $120.
With regard to discounts, DVC has apparently removed all incentives for purchases of 99 points or less. Previously most resorts offered some per-point discount beginning at 50 points--now incentives do not apply unless 100 or more points are added.
On the other end of the spectrum, the new slate of discounts does result in a lower net price for most buyers.
Incentives are currently identical for all four properties: Purchases of 100 to 249 points will receive a discount of $12 per point. For 250 or more points, the discount increases to $18 per point. This is up from discounts of $10-12 per point for most resorts.
Net prices are currently as low as $102 per point for Animal Kingdom Villas, Bay Lake Tower and Saratoga Springs. Aulani is available for just $96 per point through the end of October.
