The 60-day Founding Member purchase window for the Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel has begun.  Following is a brief rundown of the purchase terms for those eligible to buy at this time. 

A January 2009 report issued by Morgan Stanley Research North America forecasts 2009 sales for Disney Vacation Club and reveals some interesting facts regarding 2008 sales and the percenage of contracts typically financed through Disney.

Reminder that Wednesday January 14, 2009 is the final day to purchase Disney Vacation Club points under the current sale terms.  As of 1/15/09:

• The base price for new purchases and add-ons at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas will increase from $104 per point to $112 per point
• The minimum add-on purchase for the Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort increases from 25 points to 100 points

Promotional offers are also expected to change as of 1/15 so these may be the final days to get the Developer's Points and other credits currently offered.  New promotions are certain to be unveiled on 1/15, but at this time it is unknown what form they may take.

Today Disney Vacation Club sent an email reminder to members regarding the pending changes on the sales terms at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas and the Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort.  As we previously reported, on January 15, 2009 the base price for points at the Animal Kingdom Villas will go from $104 per point to $112 per point.  This change applies to both new member purchases AND add-on purchases by existing members. 

Also on January 15 the minimum add-on for the Bay Lake Tower will increase from 25 points to 100 points.  

Current incentive deals--which are valid through January 14, 2009--can be found HERE.  There has been no word on what sort of incentives may replace these on January 15.

The Annual Dues balances for 2009 have been posted to DVCMember.com.  Paper statements are being mailed to members and should begin arriving shortly. 

Note that the balances posted include any necessary adjustments to the estimated property taxes for 2008.  

The due date is January 15, 2009 with a 30-day grace period.  Failure to remit annual dues payments in a timely manner can result in the cancelation of any pending reservations andthe suspension of all Disney Vacation Club priviledges.
