The kids water play are at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is closed with no estimated reopening date.
Website WDWMagic.com reports that Kiki Tikis at the Polynesian's Lava Pool is currently closed. The kids' water play area has experienced extended downtime in the past due to maintenance issues. It was most recently refurbished back in 2021.
With the opening of Island Tower, the Polynesian now has a second kids play area which remains available to guests. Moana's Voyage Splash Zone is located at the new Cove Pool. The Cove Pool and its amenities are available to all Polynesian resort guests, including those staying in the older longhouse buildings.
The maintenance alert provided by Disney states that "select portions" of the Polynesian resort hotel will be undergoing refurbishment now through 2026.
Kiki Tikis is just one of several water features currently unavailable to Walt Disney World resort guests. The Stormalong Bay pool complex at Disney's Yacht & Beach Club Resorts is closed until June. Also the Courtyard Pool at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort is closed and expected to reopen toward the end of February.
