The unpopular pirate-themed rooms at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort are being eliminated in 2023. Could their removal pave the way for a new resort development, perhaps even a Disney Vacation Club site? 

Although Disney filed a new permit application for the site of the proposed Disney Vacation Club resort, it likely does not signal construction is about to resume. 

Evidence mounts that a forthcoming Disney Vacation Club project has either been significantly delayed or cancelled as Disney removes concept art and other details from one of its websites. 

As expected, the Anaheim Planning Commission offered its approval on a project which would add 350 Disney Vacation Club units to Disneyland Resort.
