Those who viewed the "Disney Vacation Club Discovered" webcast in February or March should soon find a surprise in their mailboxes.  

Despite a resurgence in sales for Disney's Boardwalk Villas, overall sales declined in March 2013 for the nine Disney Vacation Club resorts for which sales data is available. For the month, Disney Vacation Development sold 125,029 Disney Vacation Club points, a drop of 7.1% compared to the previous month.

Following recent program changes, Disney Vacation Club has established new rates for buyers financing their purchase or add-on with rates ranging from 9% - 17.5%.  

As expected, Disney Vacaion Club yesterday raised its base prices on nearly every property currently being marketed.  But on two properties, new incentives help mitigate the higher rates. 

Reminder that Tuesday, March 19 is the last day to take advantage of special incentives from this month's webcast series.  It is also the final day to add points at most older Disney Vacation Club resorts before the planned price increase.
