Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa -- With 99,955 points sold in June 2014, the Grand Floridian has now sold 55.30% of its 2.5 million points. Taking into account the 2% that Disney Vacation Development must retain for itself, there are 1,076,360 points remaining that can be sold to the general public. If sales continue at the current rate, the Grand Floridian would sell out in about 11 months.
The Grand Floridian and Aulani, a Disney Vacation Club Villas are the only two Disney Vacation Club resorts that offer Fixed Week deeds in addition to traditional points. In June 2014, five Fixed Week deeds were sold, bringing to 227 the total number of Fixed Week deeds sold for the Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian. Fixed Week deeds account for only 5.7% of the points sold, well below the 35% cap that Disney Vacation Development stated would be the maximum that it might sell.
On June 10, 2014, Disney Vacation Development declared two Residential Units containing 93,680 points for the Disney Vacation Club inventory, bringing to 79.56% the portion that can be booked by Disney Vacation Club members using points. There are still 22 two-bedroom vacation homes that are undeclared at the Grand Floridian.
Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas -- Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas is no longer being actively marketed by Disney Vacation Development. Still, 15,156 points were sold in June 2014, trailing only the Grand Floridian in the number of points sold for the month. Disney Vacation Development still has about 180,000 Animal Kingdom Villas points it can sell to the public.
The sales data includes all eight DVC resorts at Walt Disney World, as well as Disney's Vero Beach Resort and Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort. Point sales data is not available for the Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel or for Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas. The data is compiled from deeds filed by Disney Vacation Development and recorded with the Orange County (FL) Comptroller, the Indian River County (FL) Clerk of Court, and the Beaufort County (SC) Register of Deeds.
