Summer sales of Disney Vacation Club points have been slow. But August sales suggest things might be improving as we move into the Fall.
From December 2025 to March 2026 direct sales of Disney Vacation Club points averaged 166,258 points a month. However, in the next four-month period from April to July 2026 sales were down 11.0%, averaging only 147,876 points. The latest monthly data suggests that sales might be changing course again.
In August 2026, Disney sold 170,980 Disney Vacation Club points for the 12 DVC timeshare resorts located at World Disney World. It is the second most number of points sold in almost a year and a half.
The surge in sales owes much to Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows. The Polynesian sold 92,598 points, the most recorded in a month since sales resumed in October 2024 for the new Island Tower addition.
For the first time in several months none of the legacy DVC resorts had a particularly noteworthy month for sales. The three newest DVC properties that are the focus of Disney’s marketing — Polynesian, Disney’s Riviera Resort, and The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort — accounted for 91.1% of the points sold in August. In March 2026 those resorts accounted for only 80.9% of total sales.
Small 25-point deeds are still popular with DVC member. In August, 22 25-point deeds were sold in the month, including five each for Polynesian and Riviera Resort.
There were 10 large deeds of 500 points or more that were sold in August. A 1,062-point Fixed Week deed for a grand villa was sold for Disney’s Grand Floridian. However, that wasn’t the largest deed sold in the month. That distinction went to a 1,400-point deed sold for Riviera.
Disney’s Riviera Resort — In August 2026, 55,107 points were sold for Riviera. For the calendar year the resort is averaging 50,632 points a month
Disney also reacquired 21 Riviera deeds containing 4,905 points in August. Thirteen deeds were reacquired via the Trustee Foreclosure process, two deeds were reacquired via the Judicial Foreclosure process, and six were taken back via the Warranty Deed in Lieu of Foreclosure process. There were no deeds reacquired via the Warranty Deed process, which is the vehicle used by Disney for buy-backs and when it exercises its right of first refusal on resale transactions.
Disney has now sold 5,975,215 Riviera points, about 88.7% of the resort’s 6,739,966 total points. Disney still has about 630,000 points it can sell to the general public.
No Fixed Week deeds were sold in August for the Riviera. So far, the resort has sold 153 Fixed Week deeds.
On May 29, 2026, documentation was filed by Disney declaring 20 Riviera vacation homes for the DVC inventory. With this declaration, all 341 vacation homes at the Riviera are now part of the DVC inventory.
The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort — In August 2026, 8,090 points were sold for the Cabins. It was the best month for Cabin sales since March 2026 when 12,122 were sold for the resort.
Disney has sold 248,945 points for the Cabins, which is about 8.8% of the resort’s estimated 2,837,571 total points. Since sales began, the Cabins have averaged 8,043 points a month.
In August, Disney reacquired a 250-point Cabin deed via the Trustee Foreclosure process. It is the second deed Disney has reacquired for the resort.
No Fixed Week deeds were sold for the Cabins in August, keeping the total number of deeds at 29 for the resort. At the Cabins, the most popular weeks are #43 and #44, which are around Halloween. Fourteen Fixed Week deeds have been sold for these two weeks.
Disney has declared 63 cabins for the timeshare inventory. DVC members will be able to book using points up to 63 cabins on any given Use Day. There are still another 300 cabins that have not yet been declared. Disney will be able to use these 300 cabins for cash rentals or any other purpose it desires.
Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows — In August 2026, 92,598 points were sold for the Polynesian, which was just enough to edge out January 2025 (91,715 points) for the most points sold in a month for the residential units at the Polynesian’s Island Tower.
August sales bring the total number of points sold to 1,773,543. Disney still has slightly less than half —1,763,212 points — that can be sold to the general public. At its current rate of sales the resort could be completely sold out in about 24 months.
Disney reacquired three Polynesian deeds containing 796 points that were drawn from the Island Tower residential units. Two of the deeds were reacquired via the Trustee Foreclosure process and third deed was bought back via a Warranty Deed. The original deed was recorded on July 22, 2026, and reacquired on August 7, 2026.
In August, one Fixed Week deed was sold for accommodations at Island Tower. Disney has sold 45 Fixed Week deeds for Island Tower.
On July 22, 2026, Disney declared 19 more vacation homes for the timeshare inventory at Island Tower. This latest declaration increases the number of vacation homes that DVC members can book using points from 123 to 142. There are still 80 vacation homes at Island Tower that have not yet been declared and are still under the control of Disney. The declared inventory accounts for 2,318,156 points, which is 64.2% of the Island Tower’s 3,608,934 estimated total points.
The Orange County, California, Clerk Recorder is the source for public information about sales for the Disney Vacation Club resorts located at the Disneyland Resort. Beginning in January 2025, its public website no longer displays the deed document tax amount for deeds recorded with the county. Since the tax amount was the only way to infer the number of DVC points for each deed, it is no longer possible to estimate the number of points sold for The Villas at Disneyland Hotel or The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel timeshare. Therefore, sales data for these resorts will no longer be included in the monthly sales report.
The sales data includes all 12 DVC resorts at Walt Disney World, as well as Disney's Vero Beach Resort, and Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort. Point sales data is not available for the Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel or the Villas at Disneyland Hotel. The data is compiled from deeds filed by Disney Vacation Development and recorded with the Orange County (FL) Comptroller, the Indian River County (FL) Clerk of Court, and the Beaufort County (SC) Register of Deeds.
