Promotional incentives for purchasing new vacation points have generally improved, but for a very limited time in conjunction with Disney Vacation Club's annual member celebration.
The process of buying into Disney Vacation Club involves purchasing a set number of Vacation Points which can then be redeemed each year for stays at 17 Disney resorts and other destinations around the world. The base price for five resorts currently being marketed by DVC ranges from $243 to $248 each. However, promotional discounts are typically offered which reduce the cost of each point. Incentives rise as the size of the purchase increases.

Amounts listed above are the per-point discount deducted from the base price of each Vacation Point purchased. The lowest-priced destination for new buyers is The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort with discounts of $30 per point off a minimum purchase of 150 points or $36 off of each point for 200 or more. 200 points purchased at Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows are discounted by just $10 each.
All DVC resort ownership has a fixed ending date, after which points will no longer be available for the buyer's use. Dates are listed in the chart above, and apply to all owners regardless of when purchased. Ending dates should be taken into account when evaluating different ownership options.
The above promotions for first-time buyers are valid through October 5, 2026.
Current Disney Vacation Club owners typically receive better incentives across the board, with the promotional rates offered for add-on contracts with as few as 100 points.

Current owners looking to add 200 vacation points will find the best value at Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas with net price of $196 per point ($243 base price less $47 per point). For theme park locations, 200 points at the Fort Wilderness Cabins is priced at $200 per point while the Polynesian will cost $222 per point with a discount of just $21 each.
A bonus discount of $750 (total) is also available for add-ons of 150 or more points. Current messaging suggests it is only available for the Fort Wilderness Cabins, but buyers should confirm with a Disney Vacation Club sales representative.
These add-on offers run in conjunction with Welcome Home Weeks, and are valid only through August 26, 2026.
Additional discounts may be available at higher purchase levels. Other incentive offers may be available to Chase Disney Visa cardholders, D23 fan club members, U.S. Military personnel, Disney cast members and more. The cast member discount is currently cited as having a value of $2,250 off a purchase of 150 points.
All buyers may also consider taking advantage of Magical Beginnings in order to reduce the up-front cost. Magical Beginnings is a program which offers buyers an additional credit equal to $20 per point when selling back their first year's points to Disney. The net price would be reduced by an additional $20 per point, however the buyer would not have points to use toward a trip until their second year of ownership. This program is available on both first-time purchases and add-ons, however certain resorts may be excluded. Annual Dues are still the responsibility of the buyer. Points from a future Use Year may be eligible for borrowing in order to vacation sooner.
