Guests staying at Walt Disney World owned-and-operated resorts, including the Disney Vacation Club properties, now benefit from free waterpark access on their arrival day.
Throughout 2025, Walt Disney World is providing free arrival day access to Disney's Blizzard Beach and Disney's Typhoon Lagoon on the first day of their resort reservation. All of the Disney Vacation Club resorts in Lake Buena Vista qualify for this perk, including:
- Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort
- Boulder Ridge Villas
- Copper Creek Villas & Cabins
- Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas
- Disney's Beach Club Villas
- Disney's BoardWalk Villas
- Disney's Old Key West Resort
- Disney's Polynesian Villas & Cabins
- Disney's Riviera Resort
- Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort
- The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort
- The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
The perk is available only on the check-in day of the guest's reservation, and may not be transferred to a later day of the visit. Luggage storage is not available at the waterparks; guests are advised to first visit their resort to store luggage with bell services if the room is not yet available. Small lockers are offered at the waterparks for a fee.
Dating back to 2020, Walt Disney World has only operated one of its two waterparks at a time. Blizzard Beach is currently open, with Typhoon Lagoon expected to open sometime in the spring of 2025. Waterparks may close due to adverse weather conditions.
The free waterpark access is considered a benefit of staying at a Walt Disney World resort, and is available to all guests including DVC resale point owners, renters and guests of owners. Guests taking advantage of a "split stay", switching resorts or rooms during a multi-day visit to Walt Disney World should qualify for the free waterpark access on each of their stated check-in dates.
The perk is currently valid through December 31, 2025.
