Problems are inevitable, even during Disney Vacation Club visits.  It could be something as simple as a missing kitchen utensil or a light bulb in need of replacement...or a more serious issue like substandard housekeeping or broken appliances.  

Disney resorts are typically very responsive and accommodating when it comes to correcting problems.  But first guests must actually make some effort to bring the problems to their attention.  

Topic: What method do you use to get problems resolved during DVC resort stays?

In recent years, Disney has aggressively marketed its theme park merchandise at DisneyStore.com.  Hundreds of items which were previously available only at Disney's theme parks can now be purchased from home.  Items range from character t-shirts to special event merchandise to items designed for Disney Vacation Club owners.

Improving access to these items can be a good thing, but by doing so it eliminates what was previously a unique aspect of visiting the Disney parks.

Disney Vacation Club villas offer a pretty comprehensive selection of in-room amenities.  Smaller Deluxe Studio villas have all of the traditional hotel room features plus a refrigerator, microwave, toaster and more.  

Larger multi-room villas contain full kitchens, washer & dryer and jacuzzi tubs.  Some of the newer villa designs even allow for additional bath & sleeping facilities and televisions embedded in bathroom mirrors.  

But surely there is something Disney Vacation Club has overlooked...     

Topic: What in-room amenities would you like to see added to DVC villas?

Opinions vary widely as to what steps an individual should take prior to buying Disney Vacation Club points.  Some owners advocate multiple DVC resort stays--to actually experience serveral resorts first-hand--before making any purchase.  Others at least recommend touring model rooms and visiting resort.  Still others believe that a substantial amount of research (reading websites & discussion forums) is adequate.

Disney Vacation Club resorts are home to a wide array of resorts.  At Walt Disney World options range from the fine dining of the Grand Floridian's Victoria & Alberts and the Contemporary's California Grill to the more comfortable environs of Olivia's at Old Key West and The Turf Club at Saratoga Springs.  Elsewhere the Grand Californian's Napa Rose, Aulani's AmaAma and Vero Beach's Sonya's are elegant alternatives.
