DVCNews Debates: DVC bucket list

mt_ignore:DVCNews Debates

Everyone has their own (literal or figurative) bucket list--some list of things they would like to accomplish before they "kick the bucket."  Disney Vacation Club members are no different.  Perhaps that DVC bucket list item is a stay in a Grand Villa or a Polynesian Bungalow.  Maybe it's a club level room at Disney's Animal Kingdom villas or a week in an ocean view room at Aulani in Hawaii.  Or perhaps it's a luxurious Disney Cruise voyage or a visit to one of the international Disney parks.

Maybe it's all of the above.

DVCNews Debates: Clock radio

mt_ignore:DVCNews Debates

Walt Disney World is currently experimenting with the removal of clock radios from its Deluxe Resorts.  The reasoning behind the move is that--in 2015--few guests actually use the radios.  Disney believes that most guests now rely on smartphones or tablets available to serve a similar function, and would appreciate the extra space on resort night stands made possible without the presence of the clock radio.

DVCNews Debates: Least favorite

mt_ignore:DVCNews Debates

Everybody has their favorite Disney Vacation Club resort and it stands to reason that everyone has a least favorite as well.  The least favorite may be chosen because it is lacking some important amenity.  Maybe the dining options or location are less than ideal.  Or perhaps it received that designation due to a poor experience.

DVCNews Debates: Tipping

The subject of tipping tends to draw a wide range of opinions among Disney Vacation Club members.  Most people are aware that restaurant wait staff expects a gratuity for services provided.  But what about other positions at Disney resorts including valet parking, luggage attendants, Disney's Magical Express staff and housekeepers?

DVCNews Debates: 180 day ADRs

mt_ignore:DVCNews Debates

Guests can make Advance Dining Reservations at Walt Disney World eateries 180 days in advance. For many, choosing restaurants nearly 6 months in advance is an anxiously-awaited part of the planning process.  Choosing places to dine--and often selecting a theme park to visit on specific days--makes the trip seem a bit more "real."

To others, the need to book some meals that far in advance--or risk being shut out--is an unwelcome nuisance.
