A friend or relative wants to visit a Disney resort for their honeymoon.  The couple would like access to a wide range of activities and experiences, but theme parks are not mandatory.  Cost is not a primary concern but there will only be two occupants in the villa.  Which Disney Vacation Club resort & villa would you recommend?

With thirteen Disney Vacation Club properties in the portfolio, it could be said that there's a resort to suit just about every taste.  Themes vary from resort to resort, along with dining options, recreation and other amenities.

For similar reasons, there are probably resorts which are better suited to certain guest parties than others.  For instance, adults may gravitate toward certain locations due to the quality of restaurants, spa facilities, access to golf course and other features.

Ancillary owner perks like ticket and merchandise discounts are not contractually guaranteed to Disney Vacation Club owners.  They come and they go.

In recent months, DVC has added a number of fun owner perks including free theme park evenings, photo booths and soon a member lounge.  But over the years owners have also lost access to perks like length-of-stay ticket discounts and free valet parking.

To some, Disney Springs is frequently derided as "just a shopping mall."  But to others, it's a destination unto itself.  Many of the shops are unique, offering merchandise which is difficult if not impossible to unearth in theme park gift shops.  And the assortment of dining options provides much greater variety than any Disney resort or theme park.

DVCNews Debates: 5th Sleeper

mt_ignore:DVCNews Debates

Disney Vacation Club has employed a couple of different methods in guest rooms to sleep additional guests.  The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel was the first to feature a fold-down Murphy Bed in the living room of One and Two Bedroom Villas.  This option has more recently been used in Deluxe Studio villas, combining with a collapsable table to allow for versatility in the rooms.  Meanwhile some resorts were equipped with large armchairs which can fold flat into a twin-size bed.  Admittedly designers are limited by space and room design as to what will actually fit in any given villa.  But all things being equal, which is the preferred method for accommodating 5 guests in a DVC Studio or One Bedroom Villa?
