Last week, industry reports indicated that all the Disney parks in the US experienced a decline in attendance ranging from .05% at Disney's Hollywood Studios to 1.8% at Disneyland. This has lead some to speculate that Disney's high pricing and declining quality have finally caught up with them. The only noteworthy additions to the Disney parks in 2016 were the 'Soarin Around the World' update at Epcot and Disney California Adventure and Frozen Ever After, also at Epcot. Both of these additions debuted midway through the year.
New incentives are available to those purchasing points direct from Disney Vacation Club. Highlights include a deal which gives buyers additional points for the life of the contract at all three properties currently being marketed.
The Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) and AECOM have released their theme park attendance report for the 2016 calendar year. While The Walt Disney Company retained its title as the most visited amusement operator both domestically and worldwide, its attendance declined at every destination.
In June 2017, Disney Vacation Club members have the opportunity to dine at Markham's, located at Walt Disney World's exclusive residential community.
