High member interest prompted use of a virtual waiting room as reservations open for Island Tower at Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows.
Less than a month before its opening, all eligible Disney Vacation Club owners can now use their DVC points to reserve nights at the Polynesian's Island Tower. Reservations had previously opened to owners at the Polynesian. This is the first opportunity for owners of other DVC properties to book using their points, as well as the first time Island Tower reservations became available online.
Owners at the Polynesian can reserve rooms up to 11 months before arrival. Points for other Home resorts can book nights up to 7 months prior to arrival. This gives non-owners the ability to book any available arrival dates through June 19, while Polynesian points can be used to book arrivals through October 19, 2025.
Shortly after 8:00am, the members-only website began routing members to a virtual waiting room before they can access the booking website. The waiting room will be eliminated as traffic subsides.
The number of rooms available to book using DVC points is rather small, with only 40 rooms accessible by owners. More rooms will be made available to owners as points are sold and additional units are declared into the condominium association.
Some DVC points are not eligible to make reservations for Island Tower. This list includes resale points with home resorts of Disney's Riviera Resort, The Villas at Disneyland Hotel and The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort.
