Boat service to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa will experience some downtime in the early days of March 2022.
Refurbishment work on the dock will require some downtime, although the boats will continue to run on a daily basis. Beginning March 3, 2022, boat service will be discontinuted between 11:45am and 3:15pm daily. During this period, water launch service in both directions between the resort and Magic Kingdom theme park will be unavailable.
The work is expected to last for about a week, though no specific end date has been provided. All refurbishment schedules are subject to change. Guests should refer to signage at the resort or speak to a cast member for the latest updates.
During the daily dock closure, monorail service will remain available along with the foot path which now connects Grand Floridian to the Magic Kingdom.
Disney had previously revealed that construction work is set to begin on the Big Pine Key building as of March 1, 2022. Crews will begin converting the 202 hotel rooms into Disney Vacation Club Resort Studios. Point sales for the new units are expected to begin on March 3.
