Disney Vacation Club has provided a first look at the interior of the Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, set to join the timeshare program in summer of 2024.
During the 2024 condo association meeting, DVC Senior VP and General Manager Bill Diercksen shared new images of the soon-to-be-updated Fort Wilderness Cabins. The updated units will sleep up to 6 guests with a separate master bedroom and other sleeping accommodations in the living area. Images also reveal the full kitchen, dedicated dining area and an outdoor charcoal grill.
Diercksen indicated that Chip and Dale will be featured on the pull-out bed. One "Easter egg" included with the feature: a calendar displayed along with the characters will be dated November 17, which is the original opening date of Disney's Fort Wilderness Campground.
Some of the cabins will also be pet friendly, a first for Disney Vacation Club.
Permits have been filed and some work has begun. Cabins will presumably be manufactured off site and installed on existing foundations. Disney has promised some updates to infrastructure in the area surrounding the cabins but no details have been revealed.
DVC applied for a permit to sell the new timeshare back in October. Sales will likely begin in the first few months of 2024 with an opening around mid-year.
