Construction has reached the approximate midpoint as Disney Lakeshore Lodge chugs toward its projected 2027 opening.
Construction work on Disney Lakeshore Lodge resumed in earnest back in December 2024. 16 months later, the entire building appears to have been topped off. Most sections max out at 8 floors. However, the center section depicted below has some areas which seemingly rise up to 11 floors in height. Those taller sections are likely home to elite grand villas or penthouse rooms. Though it could also be a viewing platform or exclusive Disney Vacation Club member lounge.
The western side of the building appears to be home to the DVC villas. Two of the A-frame cabins are visible through the trees along the shore.
The eastern side is expected to be home to the resort's traditional hotel rooms. Details have not yet been released regarding the breakdown of DVC villas vs hotel rooms in what was intially promoted as a 900-room structure.
The resort is nestled between Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Disney's Wilderness Lodge. In addition to the unique shoreline cabins, plans call for an elaborate waterpark-like pool complex. It will be the eighteenth DVC property, the thirteenth at Walt Disney World alone.
