A new report suggests that Disney Lakeshore Lodge will move forward with some of the more high-end amenities previously planned for Reflections - a Disney Lakeside Lodge.
According to website WDWMagic.com, sources indicate that the design for Lakeshore Lodge will still include the elaborate pool complex that was once slated for Reflections. As detailed in the image below, public filings for Reflections included a large feature pool with a lazy river. These amenities are located near the center of the image, shaded in blue. To the left, also in blue, is a smaller leisure pool.
Both pools face the shores of Bay Lake, with the resort flanked by Disney's Wilderness Lodge to the west and Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort to the east. Check out our recent construction photos of Lakeshore Lodge as taken from the Wilderness Lodge grounds.
There are no guarantees that Lakeshore Lodge will move forward with the amenities exactly as depicted here. However it is believed that the building itself will follow a nearly identical footprint. Foundation work was completed for Reflections in early 2020 before the project was sidelined by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The orignal plan called for around 900 units, a combination of both Disney Vacation Club villas and hotel rooms. Disney has not confirmed whether or not it still intends to offer a mixture of hotel rooms and villas. The tower will reportedly rise up to 12 stories tall, and is slated for completion in 2027.
