Large cranes mark the future location of the newest Disney Vacation Club development.
In November 2024, Disney announced plans to revive the resort formerly known as Reflections - a Disney Lakeside Lodge. Crews moved quickly to resume progress on the site which had been idle since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Now dubbed Disney Lakeshore Lodge, the new construction is located on the former home of River Country water park. Set between Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and Disney's Wilderness Lodge, Lakeshore Lodge is expected to bring another outdoor-themed destination to Walt Disney World.
The new resort is said to utilize the same footprint as Reflections. However it is not known if the overall design will mirror the few pieces of concept art which were circulated when Reflections was still under development.
At present, Lakeshore Lodge sits 2-3 stories tall. The finished structure is said to rise up to 12 stories, with a completion targeted for some time in 2027.
