One of the three pools located at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is currently closed to guests.
The Grand Californian's Fountain Pool is currently unavailable while the area is being refurbished. The Fountain Pool is the resort's original leisure pool, located nearest to the main entry gate by Storyteller's Cafe and adjacent to GCH Craftsman Grill. The Grill remains open to guests, including the outdoor tables near the shuttered pool.
Construction walls separate the Fountain Pool from the Redwood Pool and the Mariposa Pool which remain open for guest use. Redwood Pool is the resort's feature pool, including slides for older and younger guests.
Disney has not published any timeline on when this refurbishment project will be complete or if/when it may expand to the other pools of the Grand Californian. Disney had previously shared information regarding planned upgrades to the resort including an expansion of Napa Rose restaurant which will require a closure from spring to fall 2025.
