In 2013 Disney Vacation Club members will reportedly receive complimentary membership in D23, The Official Disney Fan Club.
Information posted to The Hub--Disney's official Cast Member news portal--indicates that DVC members will receive free D23 membership beginning in 2013. The free offering will apparently resemble D23's current Silver Membership level. Silver D23 members receive an ID card and certificate, a bi-weekly email newsletter, access to numerous members-only events throughout the year, exclusive discounts and more. The Silver Membership is currently priced at $34.99 per year.
Gold D23 Membership adds the quarterly print magazine to the above benefits for a total charge of $74.99 per year.
Additional details regarding the free Disney Vacation Club perk will be revealed in the Winter issue of Disney Files Magazine and posted to DVCMember.com after the first of the year.
