In the late-90s and early-00s, Disney Vacation Club operated an incentive program called Magical Beginnings. Magical Beginnings enabled buyers to trade in their first year's DVC points in exchange for a purchase discount of $8-10 per point. Now Magical Beginnings is poised to make a comeback.
As Disney Vacation Club prepares to adjust its incentive packages, it appears that a price increase is also on the horizon for point purchases at the Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort.
Disney Vacation Club is currently offering additional discounts of $6 or $8 per point to new buyers who have a referral from an existing DVC member. This incentive program is now slated to end on Tuesday, August 25, 2009.
We currently have no information on the discounts which may follow. Visit our Pricing & Promotions page for further details on known price reductions.
Disney Vacation Club has again partnered with the Chase Disney Visa to offer a $500 credit to new buyers who acquire 160+ points and current members who add 100+ points. The offer runs through September 15, 2009. Details follow.
UPDATE: Note that this offer ONLY applies to purchases at the Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel. However, reports indicate that this offer can be combined with the referral incentives which run through August 25, 2009. Through 8/25, new buyers at the Grand Californian can save up to $24 per point (from the $112 base price) and receive the $500 Disney Visa promotion.
