Annual Dues Payment Option Eliminated for 2025

DVC Policies & Procedures

Disney Vacation Club has apparently eliminated one method of paying annual dues during the coming year.

A notice posted to the Disney Vacation Club members-only website indicates that members using a monthly payment option to fund their annual dues will no longer be able to supplement those payments with Disney Gift Cards. The full notice is as follows:

While you are enrolled in Auto-Pay for Annual Dues, Disney Gift Cards and Disney Rewards Redemption Cards are not acceptable forms of payment per our terms and conditions. To make a payment with a Gift Card or Rewards card, please first un-enroll by selecting My Annual Dues > Manage Auto-Pay > Cancel Autopay. After making your payment, please re-enroll in Autopay by February 14 for any remaining balance due. If you are not re-enrolled in Autopay by February 14, any outstanding Annual Dues balance will be considered past due on February 15, subject to late fees and interest, and due in full. If you removed Autopay to pay in full , please remember to re-enroll if you want to continue with automatic payments for future years.

This would seem to eliminate the process of purchasing Disney Gift Cards on a monthly basis, and using them to fund the dues payments. Disney Vacation Club allows members to spread their dues balance over 12 interest-free payments when debited from a US-based bank account. However, in the past owners could purchase gift cards--often at a discount--and apply the funds to their DVC dues account before the automated monthly payment was withdrawn.

Disney Gift Cards can still be used to pay DVC annual dues. However the owner must withdraw from the monthly payment plan and submit the full 2025 balance by February 15. Credit cards can also be used to pay the member dues, but require the full yearly payment be submitted by the mid-February deadline.

Annual Dues cover the operating expenses, taxes and future renovations of each Disney Vacation Club property. Estimated amounts for 2025 were released in late November. The amounts are expected to be approved by the Board of Directors during the association meetings on December 10-11. Balances will be posted to members' accounts the following week.
