Disney Vacation Club members can now register to attend the 2022 Condominium Association Meetings in December.
The 2022 condo meeting will be held on Thursday, December 8 in the convention center of Disney's Contemporary Resort. The Board of Directors meeting is scheduled for 2:00pm with the Members Meeting to follow at 2:10pm.
Hosting an annual public owners meeting is a regulatory requirement. However much of the content is heavily scripted with board members meeting to ratify budgets and share a brief recap of the prior year along with a preview of the coming year. The 2020 and 2021 meetings were heavily influenced by the COVID-19 pandemic with socially distanced seating and very limited interaction between attendees and executives. A brief Q&A session is provided, however it is designed to be limited to budget-related inquiries.
Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, the meetings were followed by a reception with free refreshments, Disney character photo opportunities and one-on-one interaction with DVC and resort executives. In 2019, attendees were treated to a preview tour of Disney's Riviera Resort just days before its opening. This type of reception was not offered in 2020 or 2021 and there is no word on whether it will return for 2022.
The meetings typically last 60-90 minutes.
Members can register to attend by visiting the DVC website and clicking on "My DVC" then "Condo Association News." Look for the item labeled "Meeting Notices & Information." Content will be presented live at the Contemporary with a teleconference provided to Disney's Grand Californian Hotel.
The deadline to RSVP is November 18, 2022.
Attendees are asked to utilize Disney transportation whenever possible. Off-site parking has previously been provided at the Transportation & Ticket Center with a shuttle bus to Contemporary.
