The sales data includes all eight DVC resorts at Walt Disney World, as well as Disney's Vero Beach Resort and Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort. Point sales data is not available for the Villas at Disney's Grand California Hotel or for Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas. The data is compiled from deeds filed by Disney Vacation Development and recorded with the Orange County (FL) Comptroller, the Indian River County (FL) Clerk of Court, and the Beaufort County (SC) Register of Deeds.
Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa - Sales of the newest DVC resort began on May 23, 2013, and the first deeds were recorded by the Orange County Comptroller on June 6. 85,994 points were sold and, based on the dates of the signed deeds, all were purchased by existing DVC members before sales opened on June 19 to non-members.
In addition to selling traditional Disney Vacation Club points at the Grand Floridian, Disney offers a Fixed Week Ownership option. In June, twenty-five Fixed Week deeds were sold representing 7,102 points. Eighteen of the twenty-five Fixed Weeks are clustered in the last six weeks of the calendar year.
It appears that Disney Vacation Development has allocated 23,420 points to each two-bedroom vacation home and 53,220 points to each three-bedroom grand villa at the Grand Floridian. This will give the resort a total of 2,520,800 points, making it the second smallest DVC resort at Walt Disney World in terms of points. The Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge is the smallest resort at Walt Disney World with only 1,962,300 points.
Disney Vacation Development has declared 75.85% of the Grand Floridian villas for the DVC inventory. All six grand villas have been declared, as well as 68 of the 94 two-bedroom vacation homes. This means that on any given Use Day up to 75.85% of the resort can be booked by members using points. There are 26 two-bedroom vacation homes that have not been declared for the DVC inventory. Until these 26 vacation homes are declared for the DVC inventory, Disney can use them as it pleases, including for cash reservations by the public.
Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - With 106,727 points sold in June, Animal Kingdom Villas has sold over 100,000 points for the third month in a row. Disney Vacation Development has now sold about 88.2% of Animal Kingdom Villas' 7.4 million points. Since Disney must retain at least 2% of each resort's total points, it still has about 726,542 Animal Kingdom points it can still sell to the general public.
Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort - In June Disney Vacation Development reacquired more Bay Lake Tower points than it sold to the general public. Disney reacquired 3,255 Bay Lake Tower points through foreclosures and exercising its Right of First Refusal on resale transactions, but sold only 3,020 points during the month.
