Over the last 12 months, Disney Vacation Development has averaged 195,145 points in direct monthly sales. However, in November 2012, sales were well below average. DVD sold only 128,316 points, the second fewest number of points sold in a month since at least July 2010.
Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas led all resorts in sales with 74,580 points sold in November. Although it is no longer actively marketed by DVD, Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort was second in sales for the month with 17,293 points. Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, also no longer being actively marketed, was third with 16,135 points sold for the month.

The sales data includes all seven DVC resorts at Walt Disney World, as well as Disney's Vero Beach Resort and Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort. Point sales data is not available for the Villas at Disney's Grand California Hotel or for Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas. The data is compiled from deeds filed by Disney Vacation Development and recorded with the Orange County (FL) Comptroller, the Indian River County (FL) Clerk of Court, and the Beaufort County (SC) Register of Deeds.
Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - With 74,580 points sold in November, Disney Vacation Development has now sold about 80.1% of Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas' 7.4 million total points. So far in 2012, DVD has sold 1,241,543 Animal Kingdom points, a monthly average of 112,868 points.
In November, DVD also reacquired 6,035 Animal Kingdom Villas' points through foreclosure proceedings, exercising its Right of First Refusal on resale transactions, and other buyback reasons. Since its sales started in February 2007, DVD has reacquired 347,066 Animal Kingdom Villas points, about 4.7% of its total points.
As of October 31, 2012, 79.19% of the resort's 7.4 million points have been sold. Since DVD cannot sell more than 98% of a resport's total points to the general public, it still has about 1.32 million points left in its inventory that it can sell. These numbers reflect the Animal Kingdom Villas points DVD has reacquired since sales began in February 2007.
DVD has declared 88.63% of Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas for the DVC inventory. This means that on any given Use Day Members can book up to 88.63% of the resort using points. The rest of the resort is owned and controlled by DVD, which it can use for cash reservations and other reasons. The most recent declaration of Animal Kingdom Villas Units for the DVC inventory was made on July 23, 2012, and DVD still has about 630,096 points that have been declared but not yet sold to the general public.
Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort - Despite no longer being actively marketed by Disney Vacation Development, Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort sold 17,293 points in November. With 283,900 points sold so far in 2012, Bay Lake Tower is averaging 25,809 points a month in sales.
As with Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas, Disney Vacation Development cannot sell more than 98% of Bay Lake Tower's 5.7 million points to the general public. DVD has only about 109,000 points left that it can sell at the resort. The October Use Year is in shortest supply with about 7,018 points left unsold. The December Use Year is also in relatively short supply with only 15,293 points left unsold. Bay Lake Tower's February Use Year has the largest number of unsold points with 54,362 points still available.
In November, Disney Vacation Development reacquired 5,650 Bay Lake Tower points via foreclosure proceedings. To date, DVD has reacquired 108,891 Bay Lake Tower points, about 1.9% of its total points.
