Travel guru Samantha Brown is the hostess of the latest Disney Vacation Club webcast, which is being aired online December 7-10, 2011.
Members and prospective buyers who have registered for the webcast can view it any time between 9:00 AM to 12:00 AM (midnight) EST on these dates. The webcast can be paused or repeated at the viewer's discretion.
Now that Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa is open, Brown has returned and filmed a new webcast which runs for 27 minutes and features Aulani. During the webcast Brown tours Aulani, showing off the architecture, water features, beach, restaurants, spa, and, of course, two-bedroom and studio Vacation Homes. She also tours Auntie's Beach House, a community hall, showing some of the different activities available to Aulani guests.
In addition to showing viewers what an Aulani Vacation Home looks like, Brown points out many special Hawaiian touches and Hidden Mickeys throughout the villa. Also emphasized are the benefits of having a one, two or three bedroom DVC villa including a full kitchen, washer and dryer and a jacuzzi tub. For a $10 fee plus the cost of the food, Brown states that guests can have their refrigerators and kitchens stocked and ready for their use when they check in.
The 27-minute webcast deals almost exclusively with Aulani. However, at the conclusion of the webcast viewers can choose to view other related segments. Included are a two minute interview with Joe Rohde--lead Disney Imagineer for Aulani--and a 10-minute segment entitled "Vacation Destinations" that showcases all 11 DVC resorts, as well as the Disney Cruise Line, Adventures by Disney, the Disney Collection, and the other worldwide destinations available through RCI. There is even a downloadable PDF that shows the Aulani villa floorplans.
Special webcast offers are briefly discussed in a four minute segment labeled "Special Offers." This segment mentions only some of the offers available for Aulani and for Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas. Offers for other DVC resorts are available by talking to a Guide.
