Most ADRs Returning to 90 Days

WDW Dining News

In recent years Walt Disney World guests have been able to book their Advanced Dining Reservations (ADRs) up to 180 days in advance.  However, it appears Disney is set to cut that booking window in half.

Multiple sources have confirmed that Disney is preparing to shorten the window for making ADRs from 180 days in advance to 90 days in advance.  According to MousePlanet’s Mark Goldhaber:

As of July 16, you will not be able to make any Advance Dining Reservations (ADRs) for any dates past January 15, 2009. ADRs needed for January 16, 2009 or later will not be able to be booked until October 15.

There are 3 exceptions: Chef Mickey's, Cinderella's Royal Table, and Victoria and Albert's.

Website TouringPlans.com puts a different spin on the changes, suggesting that the move may only be temporary and necessitated by computer system conversions:

The reservation window starts growing again once the move to the new reservation system is underway, and Disney expects to be back to the full 180-day window sometime in the fall of 2009.

For many years Disney accepted ADRs (formerly Priority Seating) 90 days in advance, but expanded the booking window to 180 days back in 2005.  Since then complaints regarding the need to plan meals up to six months in advance have become commonplace among Walt Disney World guests.

We will post additional details regarding these changes following the release of an official statement by Disney.
