Free Dining Returns for 2008

WDW Dining News

No, Disney Vacation Club members do not get the Magic Your Way dining plan free for stays booked using DVC points.  But the deal is good enough that members may want to bank those points and consider a cash reservation for the fall.

For check-ins most nights between August 24 and September 20, 2008, guests booking a resort / ticket package through Disney will receive the Magic Your Way dining plan for free for the length of stay.  The room charges are billed at full rack rate and each guests must purchase at least a 1-day park pass as well.  But the dining plan is then added at no cost for all guests listed on the reservation.

The Magic Your Way dining plan provides guests with one Table Service meal (entree, dessert, non-alcoholic beverage), one Quick Service meal (entree, non-alcoholic beverage) and one snack per day, per person.  The plan is normally billed at $36.99 per adult and $10.99 per child ages 3-9.  Note that the plan does not include a gratuity for the Table Service meal and guests are expected to tip accordingly.

Additionally guests can upgrade to the Deluxe Dining Plan (which includes three Table Service meals per day) for an additional fee. For complete details on this promotion visit MouseSavers.com.

Chase Disney Visa cardholders can begin booking the plan now using rate code CMK.  The promotion will be available to the general public beginning April 10, 2008.  Availability is limited.

As stated, DVC members using points to stay at a Walt Disney World resort will not receive the complimentary Magic Your Way dining plan during their stay.  The complimentary dining package is only available to those who order a full vacation package including a Disney resort room (at full list price) and theme park tickets.  DVC members can certainly opt to purchase a vacation package at those terms, but will not receive any additional benefits when using points for their stay.
