In an effort to curb no-shows at many Walt Disney World restaurants, Disney will soon require a credit card guarantee when a reservation is secured.
Beginning October 26, 2011, Walt Disney World will require guests to provide credit card information when securing an Advance Dining Reservation at ninteen restaurants across property. Included are all so-called "Signature" locations such as Victoria & Albert's, California Grill and Jiko--the Cooking Place, as well as many popular character buffets like Chef Mickey's and The Crystal Palace.
Although guests must provide credit card information when a reservation is made, no charges will be applied at that time. However, should a guest fail to arrive for the dining reservation a no-show charge of $10 per person ($25 per person for Victoria & Albert's) will be billed to the credit card.
Guests can avoid the no-show charges by cancelling at least one day in advance.
The complete list of dining locations subject to this policy is as follows:
1900 Park Fare
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall
Artist Point
California Grill
Cape May Café
Chef Mickey’s
Cítricos
The Crystal Palace
Flying Fish Café
The Garden Grill
Hollywood & Vine
Jiko – The Cooking Place
Le Cellier Steakhouse
Narcoossee’s
‘Ohana
Tusker House Restaurant

Additionally, four other locations will continue their current policy of requiring full pre-payment when securing a reservation. Those locations include:

In conjunction with the new policy, additional venues are being made available for cancelling reservations. Guests can cancel a reservation--and avoid the no-show fees--by visiting www.waltdisneyworld.com/dining, calling 407-WDW-CNCL or by visiting any theme park Guest Relations desk, resort Lobby Concierge or any table service restaurant podium.
