Select DVC Accommodations Closing Ahead of Subtropical Storm Nicole

Guests will be relocated from freestanding accommodations at three Disney Vacaction Club resorts as the latest severe weather system approaches central Florida. 

UPDATE: Disney revised its storm guidance to reflect closures of only Treehouse Villas and Ft. Wilderness Resort & Campground.

Original story:  The Treehouse Villas at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, bungalows of Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows and Cascade Cabins located at Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge are scheduled to close from Wednesday November, 9 through Friday, November 11, 2022



Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground will also close with Wednesday - Friday performances of Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Review cancelled. 

Guests booked in these accommodations are being contacted regarding the adjustment. Disney Vacation Club's hurricane policy allows members to make adjustments to their travel plans without penalty should a hurricane warning be issued for the resort location or the member's place of residence within 7 days of their scheduled arrival. 

Subtropical Storm Nicole is expected to be upgraded to a tropical storm and perhaps even a Category 1 hurricane as it approaches Florida's Atlantic Coast on Wednesday evening. The storm is expected to bring strong winds and heavy rains to the Walt Disney World area as well as Disney's Vero Beach Resort. However there are currently no plans to close other resorts or Disney theme parks.
