The Orlando Sentinel (and other outlets) are reporting that Universal Orlando raised its theme park ticket prices yesterday, Feburary 10, 2016. Universal's cost for a one-day pass increased from $102 to $105.
Orlando's major theme park players including Disney, Universal and Sea World typically follow each-other in raising rates, suggesting a price hike for Walt Disney World--and perhaps Disneyland--is imminent.
The last price increase for Disney's Magic Your Way passes occurred in February 2015. Single-day admission to the Magic Kingdom currently runs $105 with the other three Disney parks priced at $97.
Disney made changes to its annual pass pricing and benefits back in October 2015 but did not alter single or multi-day passes.
Disney Vacation Club members are currently eligible for a discounted Magic Your Way pass. The offer includes one free park day and free waterpark visits with the purchase of the park hopping option. This promotion is scheduled to remain in effect until March 31, 2016 but would presumably be subject to any increase in the cost of underlying admission options.
