As anticipated, today Walt Disney World rolled-out new prices for a variety of ticket media including Annual Passes and Premium Annual Passes.
Following is a summary of the Annual Pass price changes for DVC members:
Pass Type |
Old Price |
New Price |
Annual Pass |
$516.53 |
$563.39 |
Annual Pass renewal |
$435.59 |
$478.19 |
Premium Annual Pass |
$644.33 |
$691.19 |
Premium Annual Pass renewal |
$542.09 |
$584.69 |
While the increases may seem steep--over 9% for the Annual Passes and renewals and 7% for Premium Annual Passes--higher base rates are not entirely to blame. Annual Pass prices increased only $15-20 each for new passes and renewals. The reminder of the difference is due to a reduction in the discount granted to Disney Vacation Club owners.
Prior to February 22, member discounts amounted to $138 - 159 per pass including tax savings. As of February 22, those discounts now range from $112 - 138 per pass. The higher net prices of $43 - 47 per pass are due to a combination of higher prices and lower discounts.
All other Florida ticket media experienced increases including Magic Your Way base tickets and the available options including Park Hopping, and waterpark options. Additionally Disney has eliminated the non-expiring tickets entirely; all theme park ticket media sold going forward will expire 14 days from first use. Existing tickets with the no expiration option will be fully honored.
