The Disney Mobile Magic app features a plethora of park touring information for both Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts. Among its most noteworthy features is the ability to display accurate standby wait times and FASTPASS return times for all attractions at Disney theme parks in the US. Times displayed in the app mirror those shown on the boards outside each attraction.
Reports indicate that Disney will soon eliminate an unpublicized policy of allowing guests to use FASTPASSES at any point after the listed return time. Rumor is that only a 15 minute grace period will be granted after the ticketed time.
Publishing standby times and FASTPASS return times via the Disney Mobile Magic app should help many guests make more informed decisions while touring the theme parks.
Disney Mobile Magic was previously unveiled as an exclusive offering for Verizon wireless customers. Verizon customers will retain a number of exclusive features including access to video content and trivia games, but the attraction wait times and a host of other data is now available to all smartphone users.
