Over the years the Disney theme parks have introduced a variety of high-end experiences like dessert parties, VIP tours, cabana rentals, wine tastings and other small-group workshops. While most of these options do not have mass appeal, many guests may be willing to splurge on one or two fun alternatives during their stay. Though some argue that resources directed toward these paid add-ons represent a loss to everyday guests. 

Are these elite, add-on services good or bad for the Disney theme parks?

Disney Vacation Club resorts each have their own unique contract end date. While DVC traditionally debuts new properties with a 50 year contract, older resorts purchased via resale are still held by that original date. Some of the program's most popular--and still more expensive--destinations like the Beach Club and BoardWalk have end dates of January 2042, less than 24 years from now. Due to high demand, owning at such locations and having access to the earlier booking window is often the only way to secure a room. 

Has the contract end date started to play a role in your buying decisions?

While Disney Vacation Club owners are allowed to "hop" to many Walt Disney World resort pools during their visits, many destinations are excluded like Stormalong Bay at the Beach Club, the pools at the Polynesian, Wilderness Lodge and others. The rules are designed to limit overcrowding, but one could argue that Disney has gone too far by blocking so many locations. 

Are the current pool hopping restrictions excessive?

Walt Disney World offers a wide variety of character meals around property with even more potentially coming. Most feature Mickey Mouse and Friends or some group of princesses.  But surely there are other Disney characters you would like to see represented at a meal.

Which Disney characters deserve to get their own dining experience?

There are fourteen Disney Vacation Club resorts and quite a few of them tend to be difficult to book. At Walt Disney World, resorts like the Grand Floridian, Bay Lake Tower, Beach Club, BoardWalk and even Polynesian are often difficult to secure 7 months prior to arrival. Hilton Head and Vero Beach are often sold out, especially during the warmer months. And the Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel is arguably the crown jewel with a total of 48 villas available to Disneyland visitors.
