The 2015 NCAA champion won't be crowned for another 24 hours but it may not be too early to name a winner in the DVCNews group.
Real life intruded and kept me from paying too much attention to the NCAA Basketball Tournament this year. And it doesn't appear that I missed very much. Yours truly is on course to finish dead last in the website pool. (Assuming we don't count the three individuals who registered and then never completed their brackets.)
Turns out that using coin flips to deterime most of the winners isn't the most effective way to fill out a bracket!
Leading the way are users jflefty with 1370 points, bradmshaffer with 1190 and SweetNubbins with 1160 points. With all 3 of them picking Wisconsin as the eventual winner, the above should represent their final order of finish.
However, should Duke end up winning the title, BMJ331 would vault into 2nd place with 1310 points and melincak will finish 3rd with 1250 points.
Regardless of that outcome, it appears that jflefty has earned the title of DVCNews Bracketologist for 2015!
Thanks to everyone who participated. And next year, I promise to put a little more thought into my own bracket!
