A Disney Vacation Club resort pool is closed for about a month to install its gated entry system.
Last month Disney revealed plans to install gates around its feature pools at all Walt Disney World resorts. One of the first pools to undergo this change is the Hidden Springs pool at Disney's Wilderness Lodge.
Mouseplanet.com is reporting that the Hidden Springs pool closed on October 15, and will remain closed until some time in late November. A notice provided to guests indicates that maintenance work in the pool area may cause some disruptions between the hours of 9:00am to 5:00pm.
All Walt Disney World resort pools will undergo similar changes in the coming months as gated entry systems are installed. Pool availability will be limited to approximately 7am - 11pm daily with lifeguards on duty during all operating hours. No changes are planned for resort quiet pools, which will remain available to guests 24/7.
