According to sources, the prefabricated Treehouse Villas are set to be delivered to the worksite and installed over the next several weeks.
Disney's Cast Member newsletter has reported that Disney Vacation Club Way will be closed between Buena Vista Drive and the Old Key West main gate from now into September on Tuesday through Thursday between the hours of 7:00am and 3:30pm. The road closure includes the main gate for Saratoga Springs Resort. During the closure, buses will be forced to use the secondary gate off of Buena Vista Drive near Downtown Disney to enter and exit Saratoga Springs.
The Treehouse Villas are located near Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa. The were last open to Disney resort guests in 2001. At that time they utilized the front desk and other resort amenities from the Disney Institute--predecessor to Saratoga Springs. Although it has been known for several months that the Treehouse Villas were due to be replaced, Disney has not yet announced whether the new structures will be made available for purchase as Disney Vacation Club units or exclusively rented to cash customers of Walt Disney World.
