The new bus loop is now open at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, however other work continues in and around the resort.

Earlier this year, Disney opened a reconfigured automobile entry point for the Polynesian resort. The project was part of changing traffic flows in the area due to the increased size of the resort. A new security booth and entry gate have been in place for several months, with bus traffic entering via the old approach drive.

This week, the resort began using a new set of bus stops for guest pick-ups and drop-offs. Bus service is offered between the Polynesian and Disney's Animal Kingdom, Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney Springs, along with the two waterparks. Buses are reportedly shared with Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

Traffic flows have also been updated to-and-from the resort. Guests headed to the main Polynesian complex should stay to the right when approaching the Magic Kingdom parking entrance. This will take traffic up World Drive to Seven Seas Drive.

Guests headed to the Disney Vacation Club Island Tower should stay left near the Magic Kingdom parking entry, traveling up Floridian Way. Signage has been updated in the area correctly directing guests to either Polynesian or Island Tower. The official guidance from Disney reads as follows:

We wanted to share that there will be a new traffic pattern during your upcoming visit due to ongoing roadway improvement projects. If you plan to arrive by car, we kindly ask that you follow Polynesian Resort directional signage on North World Drive to reach the entrance of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.

Please allow for additional travel and parking time to reach your destination.

Meanwhile, work continues on exterioir refurbishment on the rear of the Great Ceremonial House. The project was expected to wrap-up in the early summer, but the latest word is to expect it to continue until at least October. Trader Sam's Tiki Terrace has been impacted by the exterior work, though the indoor bar continues to operate normally.
