Thanks to the extended closure of Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas, Duffy the Disney Bear's newest friend has made his way to Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows.
Sea turtle 'Olu Mel was due to land Aulani after being previously featured at Hong Kong Disneyland and Shanghai Disneyland. But like so many of us, his journey was sidelined by COVID-19. This week, 'Olu Mel arrived at the Polynesian. A selection of exclusive merchandise is available at Bou Tiki, along with two sweet treats offered at the resort. The chocolate cupcake with coconut filling (pictured above) can be found at Capt Cooks. Elsewhere at Pineappe Lanai, guests can purchase the 'Olu Mel Soft Serve consisting of lime Dole Whip with garnish. Both treats feature a white chocolate Olu.
WDW News Today offers a look at the exclusive 'Olu Mel merchandise currently available at the Polynesian.
In recent years, Duffy merchandise has been limited to Aulani in the US. Most Hawaii visitors are still subject to a 14 day quarantine upon arrival. As such, Aulani remains closed and no details have been provided regarding a potential reopening date.
